City Government Provides Guidance for Social Assistance Recipients Involved in Online Gambling

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to provide guidance for social assistance recipients involved in online gambling.

We'll provide coaching for them to avoid online gambling

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said Jakarta Provincial Government will not withdraw the social assistance that has been distributed.

"We'll provide coaching for them to avoid online gambling," he said, Wednesday (7/30).

Gov Pramono Keen to Break Online Gambling Habit Among Civil Servants

Pramono reminded online gambling will not give benefit for the players. He also emphasized that Jakarta Provincial Government remains comiitted to provide social assistance to those in need, including the elderly, children, and people with disabilities.

Furthermore, Pramono also highlighted the increasing gini ratio in Jakarta. This increase indicates that the wealth of the upper class is increasing, thus widening the gap with the poor.

"The number of poor people is not increasing, but the rich people are getting richer," he added.

Therefore, the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to strengthen social support for the underprivileged by distributing social assistance.
